Smart Playlists are intelligent playlists that automatically adapt the music in your business in real time according to external data and connected integrations.
Unlike a traditional playlist, they can modify the musical style based on variables such as occupancy, reservations, foot traffic, weather, or time.
How do they work?
Smart Playlists connect with external tools that send real-time information to the system.
They can integrate with:
Google Places
Reservation systems (OpenTable, SevenRooms, ResDiary)
POS systems (Toast, Lightspeed, Square, Oracle)
Traffic counters (FootfallCam, RetailNext, V-Count)
Hotel platforms (Cloudbeds)
Weather data (OpenWeather)
Based on that data, the music adjusts automatically according to the configured conditions.
Important
For a Smart Playlist to work properly:
The data source must be active.
The integration must be previously configured.
For example:
If you want to adapt the music based on occupancy using Google Places, your store must be correctly registered.
If you want to use reservation or weather data, those integrations must be connected before activating the playlist.
Without an active integration, the automation cannot be executed.
What are they for?
Smart Playlists allow you to:
Adapt the music according to the real demand of the business.
Align the sound experience with moments of higher or lower traffic.
Automate strategic decisions without manual intervention.
Turn music into a tool aligned with commercial objectives.
Once configured, they operate automatically.
