In this article, we explain what crossfade is and how to configure it from the Brandtrack Player App.
Crossfade blends the end of one song with the beginning of the next, with no silence between tracks. If it's turned off, the device plays the full ending of the outgoing song and the full introduction of the next one before starting it. If it's turned on, the volume of the outgoing song gradually decreases while the incoming song's volume rises, over the number of seconds you've set.
You can choose a duration between 1 and 12 seconds.
Warning: we don't recommend setting a crossfade longer than 5 seconds for most music styles, as it can affect the listening experience.
How to Configure Crossfade
- Open the Brandtrack Player App on your device.
- Go to the Settings section.
- Tap "Crossfade".
- Turn "Crossfade between songs" on or off according to your preference and adjust the "Crossfade duration" using the slider.
Fade Before Ads
In the same section, you'll find the "Fade before ads" option. When turned on, the song's volume fades out smoothly before an ad starts, instead of cutting off abruptly. The ad always plays at full volume.
