In this article we explain what a zone is, how it works, and how to manage it from MyBrandtrack.
A zone represents a specific space in your business where you want to play music or announcements. Each zone has its own schedule, playlist, volume, and content, completely independent from the rest.
Simply put: one zone = one space with independent sound.
Examples:
- A hotel can have one zone for the lobby, one for the restaurant, and one for the spa.
- A chain can have one zone per location.
What can you do with a zone?
- Play different music in each space.
- Assign schedules with different time slots.
- Manage specific announcements per space.
- Set the volume independently for each space.
Zone status
Inside MyBrandtrack, each zone can have one of the following statuses:
- Online: the device is connected and playing music correctly.
- Offline: the device lost its internet connection. Music may continue playing, but content will not update until the connection is restored.
- Not installed: the zone was created in MyBrandtrack but no device has been linked with Brandtrack Player yet.
- Not reactivated: the 6-digit code has already been used on this device and a new one needs to be generated to link the zone to another device.
How to change the name of a zone
Log in to MyBrandtrack, open the zone you want to edit, and click on the name to modify it. Save your changes when done.
How to generate a new 6-digit code
If you need to link a new device to a zone, log in to MyBrandtrack, open the zone, and generate a new 6-digit code. Remember that the code is single-use.
