In this article, we explain how to assign content to your zones and groups from MyBrandtrack.
You can assign three types of content:
- Playlists: music that plays continuously with no defined schedule.
- Schedules: music programming that defines which playlist plays during each time block of the day.
- Ad campaigns: ads that play between songs according to the campaign's configuration.
Important: ad campaigns can only be assigned to groups. If you have an individual zone and want to assign it a campaign, you must create a group first and add that zone to the group.
Option 1: Assign Content to a Group
This option is the most efficient when several zones share the same programming. When you assign content to a group, all zones within that group will automatically receive it. From a group, you can assign playlists, schedules, and ad campaigns.
- Go to MyBrandtrack, go to the Zones section, open the Groups tab, and click on the group you want to assign content to.
- Inside the group, you'll see three sections: Playlists, Schedules, and Ad Campaigns. Click "Add" in the corresponding section.
- Select the content you want to assign and click "Confirm".
- Once you've finished adding all the content, click "Save changes" in the top right corner of the group. Without this step, the changes won't be applied to the zones.
Option 2: Assign Content Directly to a Zone
This option is useful when you have few zones and don't need to create a group, or when a zone needs different programming than the rest. From a zone, you can only assign playlists and schedules. To assign ad campaigns, you must do so from a group.
- Go to MyBrandtrack, go to the Zones section, and click on the zone you want to assign content to.
- Inside the zone, look for the Playlists and Schedules sections. Click "Add" in the corresponding section.
- Select the content you want to assign and click "Confirm". The content will be assigned to that zone.
Device-Specific Considerations
- Brandtrack Box: content plays automatically according to what's assigned. It's not possible to manually select what to play from the device.
- Brandtrack Player App: you can go into the app and select which content to play if you have more than one option available.
If your zone isn't playing content, check that it has content assigned, that there's no conflict between group and zone assignments, and that the device is connected to the internet. If the problem persists, contact support at support@brandtrack.fm.
