In this article we explain the difference between deleting a zone and reducing zones from your subscription, and how to do each one from MyBrandtrack.
There are two different actions that can be confused:
- Delete a zone from the Zones section: removes the zone from your account but does not modify your subscription. You will continue paying for the same number of contracted zones. It is useful if you want to free up that zone to create a new one.
- Reduce zones from Subscription: reduces the number of contracted zones and therefore impacts your billing. This is the action you need to take if you want to pay for fewer zones.
Option 1: Delete a zone from the Zones section
This action removes the zone from your account but does not modify your subscription.
- Log in to MyBrandtrack and go to the Zones section.
-
Find the zone you want to delete and click on its name.
-
Inside the zone, scroll down to the bottom of the page until you find the Danger zone section.
- Click "Delete zone", select a reason and confirm.
Important: this action will not reduce your billing. If you want to reduce the number of contracted zones, you need to do it from the Subscription section.
Option 2: Reduce zones from Subscription
This action reduces the number of contracted zones and affects your billing. To reduce a zone, it must not have any musical content assigned, either directly or through a group. The platform will not allow you to continue until this requirement is met, to avoid accidentally removing a zone that is in use.
-
Log in to MyBrandtrack, click on Account and select Subscription.
-
Press the "Manage zones" button.
- Use the ( — ) button to reduce the number of contracted zones.
- Review the summary and press "Confirm".
Changes will be applied immediately. A prorated amount based on the remaining days of your billing cycle will be adjusted on your next invoice.
